Thank you to everyone who joined us for the second annual Nourish & Nest: A One-of-a-Kind Culinary and Bourbon Experience

The evening was a unique collaboration between James Beard award winning chef Meherwan Irani of Chai Pani and Cúrate’s new executive chef Ángel Palacios, whose background includes decades of experience with traditional Spanish cooking in Michelin-starred restaurants across the globe. The Van Winkle family, known for producing some of the world’s most sought after bourbons, joined these two outstanding chefs, bringing together thoughtful food and exceptional bourbon in support of Haywood Street Community Development’s mission to create deeply affordable, community-driven housing in Asheville.

With the dessert course, Preston Van Winkle led a guided tasting of Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year old bourbon, the oldest and rarest expression in the family’s lineup. Guests took home the custom tasting glass as a memento of the evening.

Nourish & Nest 2024

Our first annual Nourish and Nest fundraising event took place at Chai Pani on September 12, 2024. Co-hosted by Chef Katie Button of Curaté and Chef Meherwan Irani of Chai Pani, it was a beautiful evening full of delicious food and wonderful community.
